Intuition and Finding the Answers to Living Well

We’re always looking for ways to feel our best and enjoy life more fully. Often, we look outward for ideas and advice. But what if the answers you’re looking for are nearer than you think?

The answers you seek are not found in a Google search. They’re found in your gut, within your being, your inner-self, your very essence — within your innate sense of intuition.

You know that gut feeling you get when you meet someone? Or the wisdom that naturally guides you to know how best to comfort a grieving friend? Or that sudden urge to change plans without a particular reason?

That’s your intuition at work. And it’s been on the job since you were a little tot, guiding and leading you toward what makes you feel fulfilled and joyful while steering you away with warnings about what could be unhealthy, harmful, and even dangerous.

So why talk about intuition now?

Throughout our lives, many of us have trained ourselves to quiet or ignore our intuitive knowing. We’ve been so focused and busy — raising families, paying bills, managing the never-ending to-do lists of life —we put our natural wisdom to the side in favor of doing what we think everyone expects us to do.

Now, in our 50-plus years, life starts to gently slow down. Our burning desire to prove we’re productive members of society starts to take a back seat.

Unfortunately, our connection to what truly makes us feel happy and fulfilled may have taken a back seat, as well.

This is the perfect time in our lives to reconnect with who we truly are.

Deep under the material trappings and social circles, the nice home and shiny cars, lies our most authentic intuitive guidance.

That guidance can lead us back to our desires, allowing us to step back into the healthy flow of our intuition again.

The answers come as we learn to listen once more to the nudges that encourage us to make a new friend, try a yoga class, eat less red meat, or simply give journaling a try.

Your inner knowing is the most accurate compass for what can lead you to more joy and well-being.

Find the time to get quiet with yourself and ask yourself for guidance when you feel off-balance.

Listen closely and allow the intuitive whispers that come from within to improve the wellness of your mind, body, and spirit.
