Let’s Taco ‘Bout it with Sheet Pan Tacos

Watch the kids in your life become capable, confident, and proud in the kitchen as they help make this fun and tasty twist on tacos with you.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 tbsp oil, divided
- 8 oz. lean ground beef
- ½ tbsp Taco Seasoning
- ½ cup salsa, plus more for serving
- 12 flour or corn street taco-size tortillas (4.5″)
- 6 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, grated (1½ cups)
Optional: Sour cream or guacamole
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F
- Spread 2 tsp of the oil on a sheet pan
- Heat the remaining 1 tsp of oil in a large skillet over medium-high for 2–3 minutes
- Add the ground beef and cook, undisturbed, for 2–3 minutes
- Break beef into crumbles and cook and stir until browned and no longer pink, about 8–10 minutes
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the seasoning and salsa. Simmer for 2–3 minutes
- Take the pan off the heat
- Wrap the tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for 15 to 20 seconds
- Place tortillas on a cutting board
- Sprinkle about 1 tbsp of cheese on one side of each tortilla
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the taco meat onto each tortilla
- Top the tortilla with about 1 tbsp of remaining cheese
- Fold the tortillas in half and set them on the sheet pan
- Press firmly to keep them closed
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Take out the sheet pan from the oven and flip the tacos using a large spatula
- Press down with the spatula to keep them sealed
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown
- Serve the tacos with extra salsa, sour cream, or guacamole, if you’d like
