Giant Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Your kids and grandkids will love making these yummy chocolate peanut buttery delights. They are simple too. You can throw these cookies together with just a few ingredients from your pantry. It will be love at first bite.


Servings: 9 | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

Cookies

• 1 package (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

• ½ cup (125 mL) vegetable oil

• 2  eggs

• ½ cup semisweet chocolate morsels

Frosting

• ½ cup creamy peanut butter

• ½ cup butter (one stick) softened

• 2 cups powdered sugar

• 3 teaspoons milk

Directions:

• Preheat the oven to 350°F.

• Add all cookie ingredients to a mixing bowl.

• Use a hand mixer and mix for 45 seconds. 

• Use an extra-large scoop (1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons) to scoop the batter onto a sheet pan 2 inches apart.

• Bake for 13-15 minutes until the tops crack slightly and do not look wet. 

• Allow to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before removing.

Frosting

• Add all frosting ingredients to a mixing bowl.

• Use a hand mixer and cream for 2 minutes and 50 seconds.

• Chop peanuts if desired. 

Assembling the cookies

• Spread the frosting onto each cookie and top with chopped peanuts.
