MILA BOOKSIT: The Worm Family Has Its Picture Taken
By Nancy Churnin, Mila Vincent and Johannah Luza ~
Mila Vincent, our six-year-old book critic, got a kick out of The Worm Family Has Its Picture Taken, and so did her grandmother, Johannah Luza. We think you’ll enjoy their “picture-perfect” review.

Mila: I like worms and all kinds of bugs, so I really liked this book. Mrs. Worm wanted her family to have their pictures taken, but she was worried that the pictures would not be very pretty. Worms don’t have different colors or hair or feet like her other bug and animal friends. So, she decided to buy little clothes and shoes and wigs and have the family dress up so the photographer would think they looked beautiful. Mrs. Worm even put lipstick on! And they all wore one shoe each at the bottom of their bodies. They looked pretty silly!
When you read the book, you will find out what the photographer did when he saw them in their outfits. It’s a funny book, and my little sister even liked it, and she’s only two!
Johannah: This is such an adorable book for toddlers and up. The illustrations add so much humor. The story teaches that we don’t have to be something we aren’t. We are all special in our own way.
