Inspired by fall’s flavors during the holidays, it is the perfect drink to enjoy as you warm yourself in front of a welcoming fire with friends and family.
The mezcal provides a slight smokiness that pulls together the herbal notes of the Averna, as well as the spice of the pear liqueur. Lemon and egg white help give a light silkiness that rounds out this perfect fall cocktail.
- 1 oz 400 Conejos Joven Oaxaca Mezcal
- 3/4 oz St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur
- 1/2 oz Averna Amaro
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white
Step 1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Step 2. Dry shake (with no ice) until frothy.
Step 3. Add ice to the shaker, shake vigorously, and double strain into a Nick & Nora glass.
Step 4. Garnish with a swirl of cinnamon, rosemary sprig, and dehydrated pear slice.
